The Grand Prix I purchased in a surprising show of independence -
The GTO was built specifically for Dad to race in NHRA drag race competition. It currently has 5000 (five thousand) original miles and is in original unrestored condition (born with paint, interior and driveline). It is featured in this month's Muscle Car review magazine. https://www.msn.com/en-us/autos/clas...NnY?li=BBnb4R5 http://wildaboutcarsonline.com/cgi-b...=9990396621018

Re: Post up pics of your 1960s or 70s cars!
My dad ordered this car for my mom to drive.
It's an original 454, THM400, 3.42 posi. Came with 8" wide Corvette rallys and HR60-15 Goodyear police pursuit tires. Mom drove it for four years and I got it after that. I have been racing this car for 38 years; best ET is 9.85 at 136 mph. http://www.superchevy.com/features/s...hevy-chevelle/ K

Re: Post up pics of your 1960s or 70s cars!
Cool car hauler mike I looked in your pics and found another ploy of it:
I am currently building a car hauler it will have a 12.5 foot deck with a 2.5 foot beaver tail. Just long enough to carry my skylark around. The current truck is too short so moving the deck to another truck with a longer wheelbase and turbo Diesel engine. Last edited by Twin Turbo Skylark; 12-11-2016 at 10:25 PM. |
