Anyone know which of these is passenger side and which is drivers side?

The one with the slight angle goes to the left side.

Top photo should be the left side of the front half of my project cab you can see the tube angle off slightly to the right.

Bottom one should be the passenger side where it looks straighter.

100 degrees out there whew.

The visuals aren't as good as I hoped but you do want the one with the angled tube on the driver's side.

A couple of better photos of the left one showing the angle of the tube better I didn't think to take the rotten old hose off.

Hey Mr48 can you post a photo of the ignition switch hole? As I remember it was perfectly round. Mine is not but it has the edge all the way around so I can't imagine how it couldn't be stock, but I remember it being round.

Not often you get to see the under-dash area with no dash in the way. I also appreciate seeing the mounting system - s-clip on one side, screw on the other. My s-clips are missing so I guess I'll just use screws on both sides. Thanks!

If you look close the one on the driver's side doesn't have any S clip. I've had that cab for over 25 years and am planning on using the front half for my stretched cab project. I have a dash out of a car I used to own that is going in it but that is one of the secret ingredients right now. Unless you know what my first car was in high school.

I'd have to pop the switch out of the dash in the 51 cab to show the hole Martin. It is the back half donor for the project.

Those really look sharp now MP nice work.

Mr48 you don't have to post any photos of the ign switch hole, I have it taken care of. It did have three flat spots in the hole that looked like factory, odd, I remember my old dash as having a perfect hole, but maybe that is just how I saw it and it was the same. Anyway, I rounded it off with a half inch extension, hammer and a half round file, it is now perfect. I love that old ign switch in there, it's the original off my truck complete with key I used 40 years ago.

Hope you didn't spend a bunch of time on that, sorry.

Usually they get wallowed out after someone decides to 86 the stock switch and use a universal switch that won't stay tight in the hole.

Mine is virgin, my ignition switch with my key I used back in the seventies fits in it perfectly! I love how the switch bolts in from the back so it's not held in with a big nut like most were through the fifties and sixties. It just looks so cool there with little gap around the round stainless piece in the dash, I dig them!

When I bought mine they had swapped it out for a universal switch so they could have the key start. I lost track of how many times I tightened that bugger up over the years.

I can see one of the first things going in my new sand blast cabinet will be the defroster ducts. That convinces me that I will have to paint them now.
