Question 2 link or 4 link?

Does anyone have any say on ifcustoms two link set ups for the 73-87? I was thinking about purchasing one to replace my current two likn setup because it looks a lot stronger. Or does anybody know any companies that sell a cantilever 4 link set up for these trucks? Axle mount bag setups are just not enough height for me.

IMO IF Customs is the worst place you can get anything bag related.

You can get an Ekstensive 2 link if it'll be easier for you but I'd just stick with a parallel weld on 4 link and some F9000 or equivalent sleeve bags.

one of my buddys had his silverado with caddy front end done by them a little while back. the truck rides awesome and their product looks top notch. if you look on their website it's frank's red siverado. having seen their product in person i can tell you it looks a lot better than a lot of other companys' foreign made stuff.

People (Me included) bash IF Customs because of their work. Just because a truck rides well and goes up/down, doesn't mean anything! www.IFCustom.com says it all.

swap a two link for an IF 2 link? WHY? I see no upgrade.

Get a parrallel 4 link. If you want a canilever it would be possiable to adapt one to it. I know of one truck that used the KP kit for an 88-98 and made it work, don't know the particulars though.

I agree, look at their booger welds and that says enough.
Just because you can hack a truck up to get it low doesn’t make it right or safe.

I never heard of them till I came to this forum. Looks like they work on some nice projects and have plenty of business.

If they are doing well they can hire a better welder. Some people just can't weld. Though their ideas may be better than others. So keep the guy with good ideas and just hire a better welder right?

Hello,

I would recommend either a ladder-bar setup or 4 link setup (not cantilever) with panhard bar. I do not recommend 2 links due to lack of pivot points. That's my opinion anyway.....

Merry Christmas!

opinion? It's a fact. Two link just don't allow axle articulation or maintain proper pinion angle throughout its range of motion.

Tell me about it, I've got a cantilevered 2 link and I get bad driveline vibration at some positions (although my driveshaft is messed up too) and if I go around a corner really fast one of the back tires will come off the pavement and come back down and screech like an airplane wheel on the runway.

Gonna build an entirely new 4-link. I know other people however, that have 2-links with 0 problems.
I just don't like mine.

Tell me about it man! Thats what I am getting from my setup. I think I am going to scrap my 2 link and go with a 4 link. I only have about 30 bucks in my 2 likn anyways because
i built it my self and just used chackle ends for the joints. It doesn't squeek though.
