Re: ‘89 V(K)30 cab and chassis part out.

Clutch switch on hydro pedals I know uses the same plug as the older wiper motors under the hood on our trucks . I have used a few over the years . I forget the exact range tho of years .

It would be the plug that fits the switch. There may be two plugs, each being square and should have two wires each. I'll take them both. Each one is square with a matching Tang on one corner that corresponds with the cavity in the switch.

Any idea what the other plug in that switch is for?

Re: ‘89 V(K)30 cab and chassis part out.

I checked when I got home and I do believe I know which ones they are. I’m gonna do a little research tonight to make sure and then I’ll try and get pictures tomorrow. The harness from this truck is uncut so I know I’ve got them.

Re: ‘89 V(K)30 cab and chassis part out.

Is the boot/seal on the upper end of the lower steering intermediate shaft in good condition? No tears/rips, etc?

Re: ‘89 V(K)30 cab and chassis part out.

Here’s what I’ve got, the boot on the intermediate shaft unfortunately has a small tear in it. If your interested still I can come down on the price, how’s $30 plus shipping sound? It still has wet grease inside the boot.

I found the connectors but one of mine has a third wire. The wire colors in the white connector are red with a purple stripe, black with a white stripe and brown. These two connectors are right next to each other in the harness and are the only two really in the proximity of where the clutch switch was.

Ok cool. That black connector is the one I need. I can tell from the pic the white connector doesn't fit the socket in the switch. That's ok cuz I only need the black one. I discovered today from another site that the windshield wiper motor uses the same plug. I checked when I got home and indeed it does!

So....would you snip me a nice long pigtail for the black connector on the clutch switch AND the same connector on the wiper motor?

Let me know what you need for your time. You can probably drop them in an envelope and mail them. PayPal?

Thanks.

Unfortunately, the boot is really the only part I need. Yours is better than any I have here, so I will keep it in mind as I keep searching. I appreciate you checking it out for me and the lower price offer.

I understand.

SunSoaked, I’ll see if I can get a look at the wiper motor connector this evening.
If it will work for you how does $25 shipped sound?

Thanks for that tip Sweetk30. You are correct, the wiper plug on my truck is the same as the clutch switch plug I'm looking for. Now I just need to find one or the other. lol

Well I ran into a problem... I went to cut the connectors off this afternoon. I didn’t think about it earlier but I sold part of the fire wall harness with the engine, in the part I sold was the wiper motor harness. So it looks like all I’ve got is the one black connector. This truck is pretty heavily parted at this point and I apologize for not thinking about it sooner.

80's wipers with electric pump in washer tank are different plug . So the ends you had would not of worked .

@57taskforce

Do you have the plastic clutch master cylinder? It should be attached with a small bracket to the wiper motor.

If your talking about the clutch fluid reservoir, I don’t it sold already in this thread. I do have master cylinder still but in all honesty probably not worth chancing used vs. buying new.

Ford used a little firewall mounted bottle almost like our bottle. Could score one of them in a pinch.
