thx for sharing as it is rare to none to find another 57 Chevy in a wrecking yard

I would pull the steering wheel and hang it on my garage wall ,,wonder how much they would have to have for it?

Even with the primer, it looks like the bottom couple of inches are gone, but who cares, it's a freakin' 57 chevy 2 door!

Whomever sold that to the pick n pull place lost out on a lot of $$ by not selling it.

I'd pull the whole thing out in a instant.
Who cares what condition it's in.

Now that is worth some metal repair! Even as a rat rod. Who's got a 57 Chevy rat rod?

Even if it was rotted to death they had to have a title to scrap it. Something could be built from it

Re: Check out whats at my local U-pullit yard 57 bel air 2dr

Those yards don't necessarily need a title to accept it. I've talked to the them before and was told they will attempt to sell if it has a title, leadi g me to believe that this car didn't. They tried to sell this 1970 Pontiac Grand Prix but no takers so out into the yard it went. It could have been saved. After it went into the yard some fool busted the headlights. Now the 400 is on Craigslist for more than they wanted for the whole car. Here is a video of it.https://youtu.be/W4SPKqYJAjk

This thread is depressing. Reminds me of when my buddy found a 1970 Super Bee in a Pick A Part. They wouldn't sell the whole car because of some state law or something. And it went to the crusher.

Wow I can't believe somebody would scrap that car. They obviously didn't know how desirable they are these days. I would snatch that up in a second.

Re: Check out whats at my local U-pullit yard 57 bel air 2dr

I am surprised that it ended up at the u pull it yard. Sure some get scrapped when they are deemed too rough to build, but usually they are parted out first. This one still has an electric wiper motor on it, that is worth some money. The only real scary part for this car as far as rebuilding it goes to me is the roof c-pillar. The floors and rockers are a fairly simple procedure. I am currently in the process of building a gasser out of a 57 150 2 door sedan that was left for dead many years ago. I replaced floors, trunk floor, and rockers.
