One cool thing about car shows is that you can see what people have dreamed up and fabbed into reality. Not everyone can make it to car shows all the time, so I thought it would be cool to have you guys brag about the custom, 1-off features of your trucks that you are really proud of. Something innovative, rarely seen, etc.

I will start with this sick 5.3L copper engine cover by Delmo and Sam that I inherited.

thanks guys - it's going to be a food truck for my girlfriend.
It's being built in the UK by The Intergalactic Custom Shop. I've been planning this truck for over a year and the builder Wayne also has a head full of cool ideas.

Seeing Daveshilling's kick ass engine cover has made me wish we could do something under the hood but it's a real tight squeeze under there already!

Nothin special about my stuff, just a lil weld here, a lil more grinding there. Same old stuff I guess.

Mine is probably that when I bought it in 1973 when I was 15 it had a hot 235 with a home made four barrel intake. Or that I chopped it just a few months after getting it. And was a "rat rod" when rat rodding wasn't cool in the seventies.

Or that it once was Mid engined with a 401 Buick between the seats.

Or that I sectioned it 20 years ago, Or that it now is being built into a "Corvette" pickup that GM never produced with a 1953 235 Corvette motor. Whether you like it or not, it's always been different!

Don't exaggerate, the bolts that hold your front bumper on are ho hum right out of a catalog.

Kim47 wins the "different" contest hands down. That is going to be one cool truck when it's done.

I've seen a lot of AD trucks with the top removed or with a rag top or padded top but Oldman3's truck is one of the few that got it right. The header on the windshield actually looks like a convertible windshield header.

Nothing too exciting about my truck, it's chopped 4 inches, has Suicide doors and has 120 louvers punched in the hood and frenched headlights along with a dash that was made out of 1=1/2 inch exhaust pipe and the inside panel of a mid 70's fleetside truck bed.

Hopefully this time around it will come out a whole lot better and my welding and body skills have improved greatly. My level of patience has increased ten fold since 1981/82 when I built the truck the second time.

My ongoing truck projects: 48 Chev 3100 that will run a 292 Six. 71 GMC 2500 that is getting a Cad 500 transplant. 77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.
