lowering a 3/4 ton burb

hey guys! I'm a newbie and this is my first post so bear with me. I've got an 86 gmc burb 2500 (sierra classic 2wd), and I want lower it but dont really know how to go about it . I've read alot of the posts (very helpful)and I figure you guys would know everything about it. All options considered (cheaper the better ). Its not a show car, I just want to lower it, put some rims on it , and enjoy it . Thanks
