Suburban Drive Shaft Same as Long Bed Truck?

Someone put a 1 piece drive shaft in my 72 Suburban. I am returning it to stock and need to change out the drive shaft. Will a drive shaft (2 piece) from a LWB truck work? If not does anyone know if there is a later model truck drive shaft that will fit that I can get from a junk yard?

Thanks,

Keith

I haven't looked to see about the carrier bracket. I am getting 72 Super Cheyenne parts truck and it should have everything I need. I will put new U-joints in and buy a new carrier bearing. Hopefull I will be good to go. Thanks for the info.

The 72's have the good u shaped carriers> You should put all new parts in there are no problems that way. Good luck. Did your parts truck come with a BBC? My 72 did and had big drive shafts in it< my 68 had skinny shafts, it came with a 327.

It should work. I took a drive shaft out of a 72' suburban and successfully put it into a 70' longbed truck.
