Talking tag

I just bought a 1952 OK farm truck tag on ebray to put on my 52 3/4 ton Chevy. All the paint is off. What color should I paint it and what kind of paint? Not too worried about original because the truck will be on a 1984 Blazer chasis.

I'd paint the tag it's original color. You can probably call the DMV to get the correct colors.
