Seat fitment

Will these seats (out of 86 crew) bolt in on a 73 Jimmy? I'm mostly interested in the center seat. Could I just bolt it between the stock 73 buckets? Did Suburbans come with a similar center seat and would it be a better fit?

those seats are aftermarket seats....i dunno if the center seat will fit between......you could just measure and see.....but i dont think it will.....it looks too wide...but if they were bolted into a crew cab that should fit in the 73......i dont know if the bolt holes will line up but that's a simple fix...hope this helps

Re: Seat fitment

i've used a set of aftermarket seats in my blazer. the floor brackets had to be modified to mount on a flat surface and the bolt holes won't match but other than that the sizes are the some.
i think the center hump on a 86 crew may be higher than the 73 jimmy also but cant be sure

Re: Seat fitment

So, was there ever a factory center seat option for this generation (73-91) of blazer/subs? If anyone has pics lets see it.

Re: Seat fitment

there was no factory center seat option for this generation of burbs or blazers. the closest is the bench front on the burbs

Re: Seat fitment

mine were custom very close to what you are showing, the center jump seat (and the rest were) bolted with 1/2 inch bolts threw the floor, the bases all custom welded/bent to fit the burb floor, truck was RPO'd with only a (factory)front bench

Re: Seat fitment

The pickups and Suburbans both have the large humps in hte floor, while the Blazer has a flat floor. You could probably retrofit seats from 88-up a lot easier as they all had flat floors.

Thanks! That's good info. I'll keep my eyes peeled for that.
