Re: embossed bowtie sheetmetal

No one has replied so I will take a shot at it. If you have a local custom car shop or fabrication shop they should be able to make a male and female die to put in a press. If you just want one copy it could probably be made out of hard wood. If more I would go with aluminum billet or steel. Then you sandwich the sheet metal between and press it in a regular shop press. I have not done this but I am sure the others who have done similar thing can correct me on any points I have missed. Can't be that hard I would think.

You can do as Barnfind46 has said. Or find someone that bead rolls, you can see if they can make a one off for you. Check out Atomic Armadillo Metal Fab, he might be able to make something custom up for you.

Re: embossed bowtie sheetmetal

Another option is license plates. These will be aluminum but you could use 3M 08116 panel adhesive to bond it to the dash...it will never come off.

Check out allmetalshaping.com there are several methods to accomplish making this part. Bead roller, flow forming, Pullmax with a pattern, hydroforming, stamping.
