Anyone using these shock extenders for lifts?

I am putting a 2" lift on my truck - just last year I bought new rancho 9000 shocks for it which are for stock height. They won't fit (not long enough) with the lift on. I found these shock extenders on ebay that bolt between the mount and the shock to allow a person to use stock shocks.

I don't like the idea of putting an extra joint in there, but the design is pretty simple and the more I look at it I think it would work fine. Anyone running these? Are they just fine?
