Newbie from the Caribbean project 66

First of all thanks for the inspiration for so many month lurking that made me want to start a 66 project build. I had a 72 C10 that I sold and forever regret. I found old Red in an actual Barn here in a mountainous area here in Puerto Rico. For months I was told there was a 66 in this farm but ever got around to connecting with the owner till a week ago. As you can see there is a lot to be done to say the least its has the original 6 cyl engine and the column shifter was eliminated for a floor one. It had been sitting hiding away for over 15 plus years, I put some fresh gasoline in, new battery, some coolant and drove 45 minutes to my house in San Juan, unreal, true testament to these trucks.

That truck is sweet! elcome to the board. Doesnt sound like youre going to need much help with her. All I would do is repaint the bed box semi gloss black, repaint the bumpers white, clean up the engine bay and find some period hubcaps , drive and enjoy. Congratulations!

Thanks! exactly as I thought, probably add cleaning up the engine bay, the rest as you said, and drive it as much as possible.
