Cheaper than Powercoating

Not sure if its been covered before on this forum. My background leans towards open desert off-road racing and there is a product I've used on my cars that sprays from a spray can and is just as strong as powdercoating for a fraction of the cost. The product is called "Steel-it coatings". Another advantage to it is it can be welded on directly, without having to strip it first.

Just thought I could inform someone who wasn't aware of this stuff that can use it that wants something better than spray paint and not as spendy as powdercoating for their chassis, suspension...whatever.

ive never used steelit ,but, I would rather use rustoleum steel tech....much cheaper....

That is interesting. Gotta find me some of that. Perfect for frames and suspensions. Easy to touch up.

no doubt, most of the time....
but for something that is rarely seen and takes a lot of abuse kinda makes it a toss..
