Re: question about power brake booster

You need to run the booster hose to the back of the intake. Give me a second. I will post the part number.

Yes it is a push to connect fitting. I had the same thing on my LQ4 swap. You will have to push the blue ring inward and pull the plug out, no tools required. If you want to use it, like I did for the brake booster, you can buy the actual GM Brake booster Nipple from the stealership. The part number is GM 12559760. Hope this helps

I'm thinking there is a little more to it than just hooking the vacuum line to the intake.

To the OP,
I am guessing you want to use the late model master as well?
If so you will need to adapt the hard line fittings at the master?
Do you currenty have disc brakes?

Re: question about power brake booster

the 71 truck came 5 lug disc brake factory but no power booster i plan on putting a 98 vortec motor in it out of the 98 c2500 but i also wanted to use the master and power brake booster off of the 98 as well and wanted to know what it would take to make it work on the fire wall to hooking it in to the brake line and i guess i should also asked dose a factory 71 with power brakes have bigger size brake lines then a non power brake truck
