Track width difference between 1967 and 1972

what is the track width difference between the years of these trucks. Is the rearend wider on a 1972.

Yes, about 1-1/2" overall, or 3/4" per side.

^I agree. The change in the rear track width came in mid 1970.

huggers could be either they had wide/narrow rearends both in 70

So if you had 71 72 five lug axles would they fit in a 70 wide rear ? Just wondering. Thanks

Yes. The later 70 models had the wider rear end. My Jimmy was built in July and I was able to just swap out the axles and get new drums.
