Re: How old were you when your truck was new?

Wow I didn't think there would be this many young people interested in these old trucks. Definitely bodes well for the future of these trucks. I was 13 when mine was made, learned to drive in one of these.

Re: How old were you when your truck was new?

I have a lot of older (than me) things, including a couple of Cockshutt farm tractors (a 1951 model 40 & a 1960 model 560) as well as a 1952 Willys M38 jeep - but the one thing I have seniority on is my 1968 C 10! The folks brought me home from town in November of 1967, the C 10 didn't make that trip until February of '68.

Re: How old were you when your truck was new?

What a bunch of young pups! I feel like the Grandpa here. I was 17 when I bought my first 1970, brand new. C20, 307, 3 speed, red with a white top. $2500. Put an 8 1/2 Bryant Sports Lodge slide in camper on it a year later. $1000. I kept it 3 years then made one of the worst decisions ever....traded it for a new '73 El Camino. Should have kept the C20. Have a '70 and a '72 C10 now.

Re: How old were you when your truck was new?

1970 C10. I was less than 1 year old. Mine for 34 years so far! 550,000 miles.
Fell in love at age 12. Restoring for past 2 years. Should be wearing new paint (4th overall paint job) in 2 weeks. Down to metal prep this time.
