Air Bag Question

My Washer fluid tank has developed a leak and I need to pull it and replace it (also por 15 what ever it rusted underneith it). It is on a 02 Yukon with the 5.3L V8. It is located in the very front of the compartment right behind a headlight. I am have never worked on a car with Air bags and had a couple of questions. Where are the sensors? Are they so sensative that I need to remove the battery cable? Should I even be thinking about this?

thanks!

You won't have a problem when working on that washer tank.

The sensor is under the radiator support in the center.

Don't worry about rust, there is almost no metal under the tank. You will have to pull out the plastic inner fender to get to the tank.

Thanks, your advice was right on the money. I Found the rusty water problem, the batt had corroded on the positive post, leaked down on the pan and dripped on the Rear washer pump. pump was damaged and came loose and started leaking.
Pulled the batt, bought a new one, POR 15 on the batt tray (the acid had done its thing) and once i get parts I will put it back together.

O yea, anyone know how to get POR 15 off your fingers? wouldnt be so bad but I think I sealed in batt acid LOL.
