Has anyone seen one of these before?
So I might be picking up this 1950 2 ton chevy. It has a PTO dump bed on it.

those are google pic links. must have snagged the wrong links or something.
PTO driven winches were common back in the olden days. Might be what's on the bumper. |

its for a bolt on rod for the grain truck to let the driver line up perfectly in line with a combine harvester outlet chute. pretty common here in the midwest

might have been a mount for a big antennae, looks about the right size.

yep, my 47 3/4 ton grain truck had a mount like that before I took it apart, just have to find the right picture
it was just a big pipe that lined up with a spot on the combine, the driver kept it in that spot and the harvester burped into the grain bed.

And got his butt chewed out if he didn't stay lined up with the chute. Combines are set up different now with tanks that hold x amount of grain and then they usually load the grain into a trailer that in turn loads it into the truck but the corn silage choppers still have trucks running along side the chopper and make sure that the product gets in the truck.
