Re: What has your Chevy pulled ????????

Does this count? Found this at my Mom`s house after she passed away. I think I drew this back in 1979 when I was a senior in high school.

I still can't get over mr pop's gooseneck set up. That is a genius way to do it when you need your bed for cargo.

Or in my case, I was borrowing the trailer and didn't have a hitch mounted inside my box, plus, my truck might be borderline too tall for most goosneck/5thwheel trailers..?

I assume the question was for me? I don't have a hitch inside my box, but my box floor is about 41" off the ground. The center of my hitch receiver is about 26" off the ground. I was using a 10" drop hitch upside down, just had to put the ball on the opposite side as shown in the pic..

Nice matching setup! I thought 82 was the last year for the fullsize 2wd Blazer.

Re: What has your Chevy pulled ????????

With my dually I've hauled everything from a log splitter, to a pintle hitch trailer with a forklift from work that weighs a little over 14,000. Wish I had a picture of that and never will do that again unless I buy a semi.

Did your Dullay not handle that much weight very well ? I am going with a friend to move some hay and I am pretty sure that we ill be pushing 12,500 at least ! 30 foot with a 5 foot dove tail, it's a goose neck. I will oh so take some pic's ! I am stoked to see how this Rig does with that kind of weight.

Suspension wise it was great for it being that much with a pintle hitch, would have been even better if it was gooseneck, I was really surprised. I do know I would have never pulled it any faster that about 5 or 10 with the 350, because 55 was all that cummins wanted to do with it. That truck suspension only went down about 1 1/2 inches with that load on it and 10psi in the bags brought it right back to where it is unloaded height.
