Re: RideTech HD four link four your 1 Ton Build

Nice truck and great description Chase. I will keep this in mind for my truck though in the meantime, I just spent all my hot rod play money on another vehicle.

No doubt you guys have good products (putting them in my 48 build) and I really like you are close just over in Jasper. I am 40 minutes from Vincennes.

Re: RideTech HD four link four your 1 Ton Build

I like the idea and design of the rear but for almost the same price i can go porterbuilt and get notches and panhard bar. And probably air out lower. Maybe if u could include some of the essental parts it might be more of a option. Just my opinion.

Porterbuilt Makes some great parts I have personally used their drop member on one of my c-10 builds.
It all depends on how low you want to go and what your goal is for the truck. We have used a version of the HD 4 link on C-30 models, C3500 models, as well as many others to maintain hauling and pulling capabilities. Let me know your specific model and what your end goal is and I can try to steer you in the right direction!

Chase, it was good to meet you! If I would have thought of it I would have brought you the extra compressor in St. Louis. Appreciate your time and sharing your knowledge! Doug

Re: RideTech HD four link four your 1 Ton Build

Looking for the same system for our 1992 Chev 1 ton Chassis truck -Doing a cab swap using a 1953 and 24 valve and NV 4500 this will be a Promo Truck for our 096 Stills Company - Distillery equipment, Want it done right.

Received a quote number DXG8628 from Ride tech - we are looking for a complete system front and back with upper and lower control arms - the works Can you get air bags that can carry more than 7000 lb as I see that the rear bags come with the HD 4 Link kit? - will this kit drop the frame on the ground?

Still looking for a Rear disc brake Diff - but the 14 Bolt Corporate has 4.10 Limited slip but has drum brakes. but have found a Dana 80 with Disc Brakes from a GM Motor home waiting on measurements backing plate to backing plate.

Received a quote from AirBagit.com as well have been asking for Measurements for some time - concerned about there reviews - and all I hear about RideTech is good things

Re: RideTech HD four link four your 1 Ton Build

The air springs you are speaking of have a combined lift capacity of 7000lbs and are standard equipment on the HD 4-Link. There are actually multiple customers pulling large enclosed trailers loaded to the brim with these kits, the tow rig you saw in previous pictures was one of them.
What type of load are you planning on carrying with your truck once it is complete? While the lift capability and ride quality will be great, I am afraid that our kit isn't designed to lay frame right out of the box. If you are looking to go that low some modifications will need be made to the front cross member as it will hit the ground before the frame.
Putting a different rear differential under your truck shouldn't be a problem at all. The brackets are a weld on piece and may only require minimal modification around the axle tube to be installed.
Feel free to contact me directly if you have any further questions. Ill be more than happy to help.

Re: RideTech HD four link four your 1 Ton Build

My 87 CC Dually needs this. Rides nice with anything over 1000lbs in the bed or 600lbs of trailer tongue weight, but unloaded it is horrible. As soon as I finish up another project, this is on my list. Question - can factory ride height be maintained?

This kit will change your ride height slightly depending on how it is installed.
Are you wanting to retain as much of your factory ride height as possible?

I'd like to keep it close. Definitely don't want it lower in the rear than the front and actually prefer a little rake.

Would you prefer more of a static drop or do you want it on air?

Air would be the way to go if you wanted to put a little rake on it. Having air would also give you the ability to level it out under a load if you were hauling something.

Awesome. I haul a lot, from 10-12 bales of hay (110-120 lbs each) to pulling a gooseneck 3 horse trailer or our bumper-pull travel trailer.

You will be hearing from me in a few months. Thanks for the info!

Any suggestions on a panhard bar to go with it?
