Tire blowout

So....I was driving on the freeway tonight headed home going roughly 75...had a rear tire blowout and lucky I didnt roll the truck, but when I hit the dirt in the median the truck died and now will crank but not start. I have a 67 with a 5.3/4l60e out of an 01 suburban. Do I need to unhook the battery for a bit to reset something or did it flood?

Re: Tire blowout

LS shouldn't flood..i don't think youd need to reset anything....do you have fuel pressure...you may have knocked the pump wiring loose

Re: Tire blowout

It was 11pm, a cop immediately pulled up so didnt do much diagnosing...but now that I think about it I didnt hear the pump turn on when I tried to start it after...honestly I was a little shook up and just thankful I didn't roll my truck when it happened. I will be taking a test light with me in the morning

Re: Tire blowout

My biggest concern remains "Is the truck still there on side of road"?

Most likely tore out some of the pump feed wiring...I would be putting it on a flatbed and getting it home, rather than try the roadside

Re: Tire blowout

I went back out yesterday with a tire and tools...yes the truck was still there lol. Turns out the ground wire on my fuel pump relay came off...hooked it back up and good to go.
