Gauge hardware

Morning all-- I'm putting gauges in 54/55 dash-- what size nuts hold clusters in ? I bought truck with no gauges, #10 x 24 does'nt fit nor 3/16". I know older vehicles had different hardware. Any help is appreciated

Mine has speed nuts holding them in. Stamped steel nuts like you see for emblems and trim.
