5.3 Vortec Vacuum Ports (2002)

For those who have installed a 5.3 Vortec in your truck did you find any vacuum line routing diagrams on what is needed and what can be plugged?

I think the only thing you need is vacuum for the power booster, if equipped. The LS based engines don't use vacuum signals for engine management. Any EGR vacuum and the carbon canister vacuum can both be plugged for stand alone.

Depends on the year, If a return style fuel rail yes it uses a vacuum line to the regulator. very short molded piece of rubber tube which connects to the intake. The later use a regulator at the pump.

Mine is a return system and that little vacuum line and adapter to the small line on the rail is what I am missing
