What Are These Rings For ??

Have had these for quite some time, not sure where I acquired them from but seems sometimes "stuff" just shows up over the years. Measure 8 1/16'' in diameter, center hole is 4 7/8'' diameter, 16 smaller holes 5/8'' in diameter, just under 1/4'' thick on the ring. Thinking aluminum as non-magnetic and the white powdery type surface scale. Maybe wheel spacers the multiple holes being for numerous applications?? No idea here, sure would appreciate some help on these.

Thanks for the quick reply. I am guessing maybe for a dually application maybe? Any idea as to value? Sure don't need them on my '71 4x4, LOL.

Re: What Are These Rings For ??

No idea on value ? But I think they can still be picked up different thicknesses fairly reasonable. I have only ever actually ran any spacers on a 5 Lug car application and they were thicker than these, but I have worked on many duallies with these in between the rear wheels when larger tires were being ran to avoid touching. I always wondered how they don't affect balance as most I've seen were sloppy and would fall to the bottom when slid on ??

Re: What Are These Rings For ??

They look like spacer gaskets for a large pipe that has flanges..and the white stuff is a type of paper that was attached to the ring and now has flaked off

the holes are for bolts to go through

Re: What Are These Rings For ??

Holes are the same 8 Lug pattern but for 2 different size studs.

Re: What Are These Rings For ??

If 8-lug spacers, is the spacing correct for that? My mind goes the pipe fitting and some sort of flange or spacer

Re: What Are These Rings For ??

They matched up perfect with the rear axle of a '70 8 lug 3/4 ton truck I have been parting. Had not tried them before for that, had not thought about them being for a dually wheel spacer until recently. Now still not sure about them. The pipe flange spacer also sounds as a possiblity.

Re: What Are These Rings For ??

I have an identical set that came with my centramatic wheel balancers. So, I say wheel spacers.
