Paint Color ID, Help??

Ok guys I just got a 76 C20 that I will be using the cab on my short bed step side. I want to paint it the original color because it has family history (wife's family)

Anyway can anyone help me figure out what paint color this is. I know its original paint. The interior and door jambs are Perfect, so I only want to shoot color on the exterior. I have enclosed two pics one of the outside the other of the interior. I have the paint chips on line but the colors don’t look quite right. I looked for the options tag in the glove box but it is gone.

Thanks for your help I am swapping cabs this weekend ands will be starting body work very soon.

here is the link to the paint chips for this year truck

Re: Paint Color ID, Help??

I tried to find this out for my truck and had no luck, however my painter scanned the original paint and came up with a match.

It looks like 2773 Med Greystone, but a paint shop should be able to match it perfectly.

In my 1976 Chevy Truck brochure the color that looks closest to your truck is called Moss Gold.

Re: Paint Color ID, Help??

We had this issue on a non chevy vehicle one time and were able to take the vin number to the buic dealer and get a paint code for it, i have found though that the chevy dealers offer little support for our trucks here in oklahoma though, may be worth a shot, who knows. gl
