Re: 3" lift?

Have a link? I don't see any coils posted (though I am at work, stuff gets blocked on occasion) and I don't see specs/applications posted.

It has been awhile since I have looked but I don't recall seeing lift coils for a 1 ton. You may be better off with coil spacers.

Re: 3" lift?

Though the photo they have is generic, the design of the coil springs is pretty generic it is the length and coil rate that will matter on the lift and they do not give too much info. However I would be inclined to believe they would work as they state 1963-1991 C20, C30, C35.

http://www.airbagit.com/product-p/x2-coi-gm6391b.htm

What are your plans for the rear? Lift springs, blocks, or Shackle flip?

Do you use the C30 to it's full 1 ton capability? (towing, hauling, etc?)

Re: 3" lift?

Good looking truck.

When you are loaded down does the rear of the truck drop down a bit? If so that is why the truck is nose down, so that when loaded the back does not sit lower than the front. Front experience this will make the front end feel light and steering not seem as responsive.

I don't think the truck looks bad and personally would leave it as it is, especially if you use the truck for what it was meant for.

Re: 3" lift?

The lift springs will most likely decrease your load capacity. I can't imagine they are 1t rated.

Re: 3" lift?

I think you would be better off with some 3/4" coil spacers. You will gain a couple inches of height and not lose the 1 ton capacity.

Re: 3" lift?

If you don't off road it very hard I don't think the sold axle swap would be worth it.

But if you can do the work yourself and happen to have the parts laying around then go for it.

You will need leaf springs, spring mounts, shackles, crossover steering, transfer case, trans tail housing for 4wd, front and rear driveshafts, cut cab for shifter, and dually front axle.
