Emergency brake question.
Hello all,
The PO gutted my rear brakes of all the E-brake suff. Are the pigtails and levers all the same?? different rears and years. I need to make a junk yard run or post in the classifieds. I not sure what I'm looking for. I know someone with all the suff. It's a 71 3/4 ton GMC with 8 lug wheels. I'm not sure Which axle I have It has 10 bolts around the pumpkin and looks like a dana44 with a full floater( looks like lock outs in the rear) thanks norv

That sounds like a Dana60 rear you have. You should be able to get the e-brake stuff from some of the vendors here on the board. I had gotten mine from Chevy Duty for my 72 chevy w/ dana60 rear.

Thanks,
After looking at some pics on the web I think it's a dana60 also. I need to pull the tires and see what's what. I hope it stops raining for a few hours before the snow comes!! The good news is I found a massive rupture in the brake lines in the rear. So I don't think I'll need a brake booster. norv
