Nice reply 03glide. I don't think his intent was to come off whining, more to see what our opinion of his truck was. Why don't you kick him in the nads while you're at it.

I hardly think a little ribbing is like a kick in the nads. I believe 1968GMC realizes I was just giving him a hard time and probably doesn't need anyone sticking up for him.

My bad. Didn't know it was an "inside joke thing". Hard to figure out how somebody's saying things just reading a bunch of words on a computer. I'll quit whining now.

If you want a trophy I can dump on a plaque and give it to someone!
Trophies just say "Hey, you know that builder from the magazine? I just gave him $10K to put my radiator in for me." My 49-f**d in the avatar never took a trophy but more people smiled and thanked me for reminding them of the way things were. That made my day more than any trophy I could have received.

Dude your truck looks great. I have placed my truck in a few shows and did well. But it a depends on what class you enter into. From the pics of your truck they automatically bump you into the modified class which stinks. the vehicles that you are competing against are usually chrome monsters. Example I entered into open show, cars and trucks against each other- didn't stand a chance, who is ging to pick a truck over a chevelle or camaro, no one in the general unknowing population. Most shows that I have attended (trucks only) still dont know original from modified. One guy in stock had the judges convinced that BB chevy trucks actually came from the factory with chrome valve covers, not true by the way. Just goes to show it is more of a popularity contest thant actual ability/quality/ correct contest. Just my opinion. Don't get down and ask them what you need to change to improve your chances, sometimes they will tell you......
