507 Marathon Blue

The name is a joke for the last section to paint was the bed and i had some runs, runners whatever, no where else on the truck i had that issue
here is the start of my build thread i started three years ago.
This was my dads truck he bought in 67 and the only truck he had until he died in 2004, and always wanted me to have it when he was gone. This is for you dad!

Thanks Jimmy, I had to pull the intake and fix a oil leak on the back side of it. it was driving me crazy and also it would spit and sputter every once and a while, got that cured also.

How is yours coming along, any paint on it yet.

OH yeah, an oil leak would drive me insane after all that work!!

no paint on mine yet... other than some interior parts... just working away. I've been doing body work off and on, and working on interior items... getting ready to start the wiring process.. for the inside of cab anyway... I put some new pics up in my thread.

Re: 507 Marathon Blue

Mr. Chevrolet, Your truck looks awesome! Thanks for starting this thread. It's great to see all those progress pics along the way. The rockers, floor patch, and hood patch came out great. Nice work! 507 Lt. Blue is a great color! And the B98 lower body side molding sets it off nicely. Really is a sharp looking truck. Also it's a very nice tribute to your Father. Can't wait to see pics of it on the road.

Re: 507 Marathon Blue

This is one nice truck! Well done. Would also love to see this someday.. Mine is also a c20 on a k20 chassis. The e-brake and speedo cable and obviously the the hump I had to contend with that we're different. Did you have anything else?

Sboris that was two of the things and all so changing to an automatic I had to add neutral switch and splice into the purple wire from the key switch to the. Neutral switch. But that is About it.

Also thanks 67 C30 they are nice colors all though I am partial to the green that came out in 67. That's what I wanted to do but this was a tribute to dad so I left it blue and white.
