Thinking about getting a blazer

My cousin has a 70's blazer.I am not sure on the year.I know it has the same grill as his 78 chevy truck.

The blazer has no rust in the body.It has a 4 inch suspension lift with 33's on centerline HT 2's.The tires are bald The wheels still look great.

The interior needs to be put back togother. The dash was taken apart for some reason and will need to be reassembled.

The motor and trans are question.I have a 406 small block in the garage as a possible donor motor.I know it has a 350 in I am not sure out of what. All's I know is that it is filthy dirty.

The blazer does run.Not driveable really thought due to the dash being taken apart.

He wants 850 bucks for it.Only to me though.

What do you guys think?I would have to get rid of my 67 c-10.That needs way more work than I believe it would be worth to make nice.I would also have to get rid of a 1990 chevy 3/4 ton 4wd extended cab.I kind of built this truck.I bought it with the bed rusted out and put new patch panels. Also the cab corners where gone in the back. The front fender where shot.I have to fix a big dent in the bed from a little 4-wheelin mishap. Also when bought the truck it had a 5 speed. The thing was the input shaft locked up.So I put a rebuilt 700r4 in it.I changed it over to an automatic just like it came from the factory. The only thing being I have a piece of sheet metal over the hole in floor.

I would be building a mild mudder that I could still drive everyday during the winter. What is the advantages of straight axle vrs IFS.I know that IFS has little to no suspension articulation and that can suck sometimes. Also lifts are more expensive and complicated to install. The cv joints are a problem.

So what would you guys do.Sell my 3/4 ton and 67.(would also probably have to sell my cavalier.)And buy the blazer or fix the 90 truck up?
