Weld new windshield frame???

I have a CST Blazer tub that is in really good shape but the windshield frame has been cut off. Can I take a windshield frame from another tub and weld it onto this one? I have a RUSTY tub, good winshield frame though.
I imagine its possible, but will it still be strong enough. I don't want major structural problems in the future, but if its been done then I will give it a shot.

Sure it can be done.

It would help to form a piece of metal to fit inside each post to give the weld more support from the backside. That way, you will weld the 3 pieces together for increased support. Make sure you measure your windshield frame opening before cutting it off your donor.
