Optional ashtray?

Look at this ashtray and can someone tell me if it's same as the ones for the trucks?
I'm posting the ad for discription only. Not my part.
It is for a 63/64 Chevy car.

Thanks,Mike.

Re: Optional ashtray?

it looks similar to the ashtray that was available for the 64-66 chevys with a/c.

1st pic is correct, 2-4 are from your link, 5th might be correct, but I am unsure...
maybe someone that has a real one can post up some definitive pics.... that are more detailed.

Re: Optional ashtray?

I have a 64 Chevy truck with a/c,(like your pic)and it has the ashtray bracket, but no ashtray.
None of it will work in my 64 GMC,so I'm mostly just curious if the parts are the same.
Looks pretty close to me!
Mike.

Re: Optional ashtray?

I have 4 of those little black boxes in my 68,C-10.
2 are under each side of the seats and 2 are under the corners of the dash.
There's also an 8-track player under the drivers seat. All still work too.
I never thought they would be popular and have considered replacing them for something better.

Re: Optional ashtray?

It's a mostly original truck I bought from the original owners son.59,000 miles.
The console has about 25,8-track tapes in it.
I've installed a am/fm/cassette player under the seat next to the 8-track player.
Plenty of music!

Re: Optional ashtray?

I only have one 8-track tape left from the 70s; AC/DC If You Want Blood... but nothing that will play it.
I'm going to use that Realistic speaker for my CB.
