Going to look at this 03 short bed 4wd.

I have been on the search for a 91+ short bed 4wd truck for a couple of weeks. I found this 03 but it needs a transmission which I am talking to a shop about now and maybe some tires. Truck only has 123,000 miles with a metal cowl hood, 6" superlift, Detroit locker, Yukon axles, K&N cold air and a few other little things. If it is all that the owner says it is then I will probably go ahead and bring it home.

Other than the transmission being toast one thing that I might change on it are the wheels. While the offset isn't too bad I would rather save the paint and maybe get some factory style 20's that will tuck in better. I like the tall and skinny look better myself. Nothing crazy though. This would be a daily driver when ever needed and more so for winter months. I am still looking for a 90's model as well. I still regret selling my 91 Z71.

Maybe some Texas edition or Tahoe wheels.

Re: Going to look at this 03 short bed 4wd.

I bought it today. Now just have to get it home. Definitely going to have to quiet down the exhaust. It has no cats and looks like short flowmaster style mufflers and big exhuast tips. I first thought was either it only had cats or had glasspacks. I am thinking maybe more like and old school turbo muffler to quiet it down.
