anyone know where to get a full quarter panel or patch panels for 55-59 suburban/panel ?

Sadly nothing is being repopped for these. The 59 burb I had was so eaten away around the rear wheels i could almost crawl through the holes.

the 58-59 fleetside beds are close but not the same.

post a picture of what you have to work with. There are other years and models that you can scavenge parts from to reproduce the panels.

the fender opening is suposed to be the same as the stepside fenders. I saved the openings off the fleetside I cut up for Big Bertha in case I ever come across a burb that needs quarters. Thaey are colse enough for me and probably no one would notice.

i own both. chose to rebuild the short step side because it was easy peasy

Also been after a set of repro quarters for my (rough)1959 panel up in the rust belt….have you folks ever found anything out there? I am tempted to buy a brand new set of stepside fenders to steal wheel arches out of as I am not enough of a body guy to form new ones from scratch. Is this similarity just a myth or has anyone ever tried it? I've also thought of finding quarters from a similar era car to patch in.

Dealing with the same problem with my '56 panel-

60-66 fleetside bedsides should give you the sheetmetal, but the edge/wheel lip is thinner...

58-59 fleetside sides will work, but only give you enough metal up to the spear.

guys go over to stovebolt.com. there is a suburban forum and One of the guys makes the 47-53 suburban rear corners. I think his handle is metalman and he can build anything yu need.
