Barrett/Jackson Scottsdale

That auction started up today. There have been plenty of great cars and trucks sold tonight. Is anyone out there buying or selling or just watching it all?
I'd like to do that one day.

A nicely restored '59 went across the block earlier, I think it sold for $27K.

I'm going today. Won't be doing any bidding just looking at the 1750 vehicles they have. I look at it as a big car show and get a walk in at sametime.

Re: Barrett/Jackson Scottsdale

I might be going this weekend. Not sure how much the fee is to just be a spectator, but would be nice to see 1700 cars in one place. I was watching last night on TV and couldn't believe the prices some of these cars are bringing, but then again, I guess not surprised either. All are way out of my price range, and to think that most of these cars could be bought dirt cheap when I was growing up...

Thumbs up Re: Barrett/Jackson Scottsdale

One sold last night for $49,500.00 it was a nice truck.
Another one came up and sold for $25,000! It was as nice as the other one in my opinion.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Barrett/Jackson Scottsdale

Wow....that's blatant false advertising right there....really just lying.
I don't know how they can get away with that on the truck.

The new owner would actually have the right to return it if it matters to him.

hmmm

Unhappy Re: Barrett/Jackson Scottsdale

Same thing with cutting a LWB down to a SWB. They are telling you up front it's a 2 wheel drive converted to 4 wheel drive. The price is when I would be getting pissed. Just like a tribute vehicle. It's all about $$$$$$.
How can a tribute vehicle cost as much as a real one?

Re: Barrett/Jackson Scottsdale

They are 40 plus year old vehicles, lots of stuff has been done to them over the years, you will never be able to prove anything one way or the other, better know what you are buying because there are no returns.

Re: Barrett/Jackson Scottsdale

I don't mind the truck at all...it looks great.
I just don't like it when people try to 'lean on' certain angles and start using the term 'original' in various places and descriptions in their marketing of the truck.
This statement tends to 'stick' in the minds of possible buyers viewing the truck...and always gets me thinking of someone being a little misleading.

Again, its a great looking truck and anyone would happy to have it....just stop throwing around the statement 'original' here and there in the descriptions.....it throws me off and my suspicions start to rise up about what else there might in this deal, that I am a) not being told or b) is incorrect.

Ok, thats my two bits, lol

Re: Barrett/Jackson Scottsdale

This Fall Guy replica sold for $50,000. It was built by a university auto club. Looks like it was originally a Chevy K10 with a 305 according to the vin #.

The fall guy truck has been sold I don't know how many times at this auction. Just like the general Lee. Dang how many of those blasted cars where there a couple of dozen at least!
