my new old 55

Hey there! Thought I would share some pics of my 55 that I have owned for about fifteen years (not much progress, huh). I just started tinkering with it again and have a question for ya. The tires on it are totally dry rotted so I needed something to move it around on. I found four 245/70R17 tires for ten bucks a piece. My question is will they fit or not? They won't be perminent or anything, just something to transport it around on.

thanks, Kage

Re: my new old 55

just measure it... those are about 30 inched in diameter.. so just measure from the center hub to the top of the fender well.. if you got more than 15 inches they will fit.. im assuming you have 17 inch wheels as well?

Ya, there are currently 7.00x17's on the front and 7.50x17's on the rear. I set them next to the originals and overall they are shorter, but I am worried they are going to be to wide. thanks

no they will be fine... the section width on those are only 9.5... that will sit just perfect on a 6.5 to a 7.5..
