Re: Show me your 67-72 4x4 Suburbans!

Thanks rjsdad. It's got 6" Tuff Country springs in the front and 3/4 ton springs with some add a leaf in the back. The plan is to do the ORD shackle flip kit and a softer spring in the back. The wheels are factory 16.5's with 37x12.50 Goodyear MT military tires.

You can read a little more history on this truck in my into thread. It started out as a K10 but now it's got all 3/4 ton axles.

I found my new favorite Suburban. I also have a 70. Love the color! The interior is very cool too! Nice job on it!

Beautiful Burb!

That is the same tire size and lift I want to get.

I lifted mine with a DIY4x shackle flip and B52 kit so its a little over 4 at the moment

Any rubbing issues?

Re: Show me your 67-72 4x4 Suburbans!

Thanks 68SWB. I haven't really pushed it too hard off road since I'm still working out some bugs and making sure I'm not going to break anything but no rubbing on the road. I did do the 1" zero rate on the rear axles to get it centered better in the wheel well to help prevent rubbing. I got the ORD HD front shackles but haven't put them on yet.

I'm assuming that if I had wider wheels or a larger offset that there might be some rubbing but these factory steelies are tucked in pretty tight.

Thanks for the info, looks like they will fit for how I will use the truck.

I like the look of narrow rims like that and am going with that as well with 16.5x8.75 slot mags

Looks good! I did a 14 bolt FF in the rear but the front is a D44 with the bigger outer hubs. It's kind of a stiff ride but I'm working on softening it up.

Thanks. It has a 350 in it, not sure of the trans. Plans are to focus on the mechanics. I want to put a 6 in lift with some 37s tires. I have a set 16.5 x 9.75 steel rims I plan on using.
