My Project

New member here with my current project truck of 2 years. It’s a 1967 original K-20 that’s in the process of a ls swap. Truck was giving to me when I was 16 in return for labor, lucky me haha. Though the truck has been lots of fun, The original axles have been swapped out for newer and more available 3/4 ton axles. Also have installed 4” lift kit and 35” bfg km2’s. The truck originally had a 350 than 355 and followed by a 406, and backed by a sm465/t221. Now that the 406 has been returned to its owner i’ve been doing an ls swap, so here’s so pictures or it progress.. enjoy lol

Re: My Project

Well almost finished with my crossmember, just got to add some gussets and the tabs going to the lower half of the frame. Made my own lower mounts and used camaro rubber mounts on the block side.

Re: My Project

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and a happy new year! With some time off over the holidays I did some mock up and what I discovered is there is a difference in crossmembers on a truck with a t221 and a np205, but otherwise it was nice to get some progress on the old girl.

Re: My Project

Time to tear it all back down, a local coating shop quoted me a price to sand blast and powder coat my frame and a few other misc. parts. I built a bench to set my bed upside down on. Also bought and learning to tig weld so I can build a set of stainless headers.
