Can you elaborate on that because I'm not quite sure what you mean? They can build a longer one piece or that I can use those driveshafts to make a two piece?

What I'm saying is that they'll build to whatever specifications you give them. They don't know your specific application (although they're very helpful with providing general guidelines) so that puts a lot of responsibility on you to determine the length, diameter, critical speed, etc. of the driveshaft you want.

Re: Measuring for a new driveshaft - does this make sense?

Received my driveshaft from Southwest Speed this week. It fit perfect.

The moral of this story, as others have said, is to provide the measurements that THE SHOP requires. They know what they're doing, not you.

I can't even match my own clothes, let alone my truck.

Re: Measuring for a new driveshaft - does this make sense?

I'm doing the lwb to swb and wanted a one piece shaft. Every driveline I've had done they always say 3/4". My question is, I'm going to do a 4-6 drop which not only changes pinion angle a bunch but makes a difference for length. Has anyone run into this yet?
