I have a 75-78 pump with a press on pulley. It has a 3/8in alan head on the pump shaft. How do i remove the pulley so i can get the old mounts off and my new ones on?

Re: Power steering ?

It takes a special ps pulley puller to get it off. You can even rent them at the parts stores.

Re: Power steering ?

I just did this project over the weekend on my 69SWB. Auto Zone rents for $32.00 and when you return, they refund.

Re: Power steering ?

O'reily's auto parts rents the better unit imho. I kept it when I rented (for free left deposit) it so really bought it. it is heavy duty compared to Auto Zones.
