So i had a 5lm60 out of a 88 fullsize truck and i am in the process of switching to a nv3500 out of a 96 s10, now it has a smaller yoke, the one in my 5lm60 was a th400 yoke, the nv3500 uses a th350 yoke, the truck has a 12 bolt rear end, and im curious what kind of u joints i need to get, my buddy said i should try ones from an 85 monte that had a 305

now i feel like my driveshaft is home made but im not sure, if i had to buy a new driveshaft what vehicle should i get it out of or will i need to get a custom one?

Take both u joints with you to the auto parts store. Go to a good mom and pop type store if you have one. They will be able to set you up with a conversion u joint. Its not a big deal and they should have the u joint on the shelf.

Yeah i drove over to summit racing since its only a 15 minute drive for me and they hooked me up with the right combination u joint for only 20$. Lol i was afraid i'd be on a hunt for a while.
