Re: 67 worth fixing?

Remember ,you ask...
I would buy it and keep any good sheetmetal it has mainly that front clip and I would find a 71 or 72 SWB truck and build from that and drop a LS engine in and do some suspension upgrade's.

Take photos lengthwise, from front to back. Look at rockers Poke your phone under it in several places, under hood...

Re: 67 worth fixing?

Those original, 1967-only stepside fenders are more or less impossible to find. And they look like they are in good shape. Lots of guys would want them for their 1967 shortbox projects. Quite the find.

Love it. That should be fixed up and back on the road just like it is.

Re: 67 worth fixing?

That is a great deal. I paid more and possibly got a little less on the 67 I fixed up. Totally worth it just in parts alone and still worth it to make a driver out of.

Re: 67 worth fixing?

I popped on it guys...was too dark last night for pics but I was able to roll it over last night after the told me those famous words (ran when I parked it)

Unfortunately I did notice its sitting on the axle...so brakes are more then likely locked up....in getting off work early today so ill take more pics

Couple quick questions
What you guys think its worth right now in the condition its in(so I know what kinda deal I got)
..would it be worth it to use my 72's Chassis for this body?
Both are 2wd longbed the 72 is v8/4spd 67 is l6/4spd or should I find a different 72 chassis or keep it original
Lol my son is 8 so I have plenty of time to finish it till he is 16 just what some opinions of what you guys would do if you had it

Re: 67 worth fixing?

Looks good for the price. If you get all the metal in the bed, that's another $40.00 closer to breaking even.

Re: 67 worth fixing?

No brainer, get it home and wash it, vacume it. Another couple hundred bucks in wheel cylinders, points, filters, tune up. Thats a Roadkill driver as is.

If it makes you feel better, i just got a 71 gmc in worst shape and not running for 1000.00.

Re: 67 worth fixing?

I sure wish that rare finds like that happened more often where I live. My 67 GMC 3500 was a once-in-a-lifetime lucky find. Looks like you found yours too!

Re: 67 worth fixing?

Well I guess I will not be sending you a finders fee. Congrats on getting it.
I would clean it up really good then get it running and stopping.
As far as the miles just assume it to be original and that should be good enough.

Again, very good purchase.

Re: 67 worth fixing?

Get it running driving and stopping, clean that interior a bit, clean the windows and have tires that hold air and put it up for sale for 1800 and take 1500 cash and you’re set lol
