What do you use to tighten the three slot ignition switch retaining nut?

These are available from most parts vendors....

I made my own from a piece of thin wall tubing.

Leon's nicer to the bezel nut that I have been. Use his solution and leave the screwdriver and rubber hammer that I used in the tool box. There is a spanner made for this application, but most people don't buy it if they go to a shop for their repairs.

The very first thing you'll do AFTER you hit the screwdriver with a hammer and drag the tip if it all across your dash is rush out and buy the $8 wrench for ignition bezels

Many of them have a little bar welded across the top so you can tighten them sufficiently by hand.

EDIT: one note - be careful the first time you use one with a bar on it - it may hit your dash bezel and scrape the chrome plastic - just be aware, easy to not see it coming...

You would just have to call around and see. Some of them may have them on hand....

I can't find this tool on any of the vendor sites. I found the 68-72 tool.
While I'm at it, what about the tool for the other switch bezels?

Evidently you are looking for a tool for the '67 bezel. You will probably have to make one.

For the light and wiper eschuctions I use a pair of needle nose pliers. They really shouldn't be that tight.

I was thinking the same thing Leon.
I bet cj847 is hunting for the 67 socket tool.

The Bezel is 1.025 inch inside diameter.
The slots is 1.125 inch maximum inside diameter in 3 places.
They are about 0.100 inch wide.
The depth is just over 3/4 inch.
