Question 84 Suburban front seat

Hello,
i have a 84 suburban w/ a 6.2 L diesel engine with 301000 miles on the body. It has a seat out of a vehicle that is not the orginal style. They are scareous around where I live but I would like a original style seat back in it. Are the seats from the suburban unique or is the mid 80's truck seats and suburban seats the same?

Re: 84 Suburban front seat

well the seat from a pickup will lean forward to get behind it whereas the one in the burb is solid. . it dont fold forward

Re: 84 Suburban front seat

If you can find a newer burb seat out of like a '91 it will bolt right in. The PO of my suburban picked up a new(to my '77) bench seat out of a '91, and through it in the deal when I purchased the truck. I pulled out the original, and installed the newer seat, surpriingly there was no modifications, a direct bolt in!
