'47-'53 Identification Question

Hi Guys,
I was wondering, how would I identify wich year of the '47-'53 Chevy trucks(split windshields) has the 1 piece door windows?

Earlier today my Dad & I spotted a potetial next project partially disassembled 3 window rotting away in a well overgrown (bushes) driveway in the old part of town. I only noticed it, because it looked like it was coming right at the passenger door. lol

The things I see missing off hand from the street (assuming they have these parts) is the grille, bumper, radiator, fan, drivers door. It still has the original dark green paint with wide rusty chrome reverse mags all the way around. It still has the 235 inline 6 still under the hood. It is a short wheel base stepside to boot!!

I know there is certain years, doors, and other small items that only fit certain years of this body style, what are these?
TIA,
David

Re: '47-'53 Identification Question

IIRC, 47-50 used the one-piece glass & the door handles slid down instead pushbutton. '51 might have been the last year for these, can't remember

Re: '47-'53 Identification Question

The link above didn't work for me. 47-50 were one piece glass and pull down door handles. Wing windows started in 51 and that was the last year for pull down handles-so 51 is a one year only door. Beginning 52, door had push button handles and wing windows.

If you can get to the vin plate in the door jamb, this page is helpful:

Re: '47-'53 Identification Question

Thanks for the replies guys.
It does have the gas tank behind the seat, from what the link Joe posted says that it's a 49-50, and is also had a vent on the drivers side of the cowl.

HookBook1,
I don't remember the name of the street the truck is on, or the cross street, but it's over by the big park downtown. Also right around the corner 2 houses away in the far back off to the left behind the house (now tarped) is another green '47-'53 chevy truck.
