Just a thought

Has anybody converted/perverted a 55-59 2 wheel into a 4 wheel using the stock frame, leaf springs and steering box.
My neighboor inherited a 58 panel and I have some 67-82 4X4 stuff

There was an article in Four Wheel Drive Magazine some years ago in which this conversion was done on a mid fiftys Chevy pickup If you use a "divorced transfer case is pretty much a bolt on . You would be pretty much doing what was done by GM on the old NAPCO trucks which were shipped from the factory with a front axel and transfer which were installed by the dealer
