Bag location- ride quality

Trying to figure out if the bag over axle is as bad a ride that everyone says it is? Or if these people are used to driving factory cars.. How would it compare to a stiff "racing" coil-over setup? Would you see any benefit mounting the bag in front or behind? Or are all the bag over/on/in front/behind all the same just different looks; granted same bag/rear setup. Not comparing 4 link to stock trailing arm.

Trying to set up for laying frame/pinch in the future. Have step notch in atm just can't figure out where to mount bags to maximize drop/quality.

Should I swap my 2500 for the front and 2600 in rear to drop pressure maybe give it a little more cushion since the only complaint I hear about the bag on axle is too stiff?

Attached are a few ideas I liked

Re: Bag location- ride quality

Bagged over axel is fine. Just run sleeve bags. Convoluted bags are for bag on bar or cantilever type set ups.

Front, top, rear on BOA doesn't matter that much. Just make sure you have the space to package everything properly. My brother's old 74 had a sleeve bag over axel with the bags behind. The didn't have space to they ran a panhard bar over the top which hit the bed floor and they ended up cutting a hole in the bed for just the bar to come up...
