Rear end swap

I bought a posi rear end from a member on here. Came out of a 72 c10 and was going to put it in my 67 but sold my truck. I now have an 86 swb and was wondering if my 72 posi will bolt up in place of my swb 86 rear end?

Re: Rear end swap

72 c10's are coil spring rears with trailing arms?

86 rears are leaf spring rears?

if so it wont "bolt in".

Re: Rear end swap

the gears and posi might work if they are both 12 bolts AND both the same series, 3 or 4.
