Re: What has your Chevy pulled ????????

In all seriousness this time. In Marble Falls last May, Blazer rock crawler (Buster) pulled a broken Blazer/crawler and a Toyota crawler tied behind it. Buster pulled all three rigs back to camp all the way across the park.
I don't have a Chevy tow rig, but regularly put 14Kit begind my Dodge and can run 890 smoothly. When the body and interior crap out on the Dodge, I want to swap the 12 valve to a crew cab square dually. It'll be a while, the dodge only has 169K on it.

Re: What has your Chevy pulled ????????

i was told by the po of my pickup that it pulled a 10,000lb tank, used in a paintball competition, from here in Michigan(home of the Wolverines) to Oklahoma and back. I will contact him and see if I can find pictures.

Re: What has your Chevy pulled ????????

I had a 4,000lbs skid of tile and flooring in the box for a friends house renovation, only for less than 5 miles though. All i have to say is its a damn good thing the PO of my truck installed some super beefy camper overload springs(would say they are 2-3 ton springs, not kidding, 14 leafs with 3 of them being overload leafs). I still had 1" of suspension travel I did have to put it in low range to climb up his super steep driveway though, i felt sorry for my trans but im sure the TH 400 can take it.

I wish I had some of the pics i've lost and taken pics of some of my loads that I failed to. Often would haul 4-6 horses at a time in that configuration.

Re: What has your Chevy pulled ????????

this truck has pulled the most out of all the trucks i have owned though.
(the silver truck parked on the roof of a house)

Pulled a house down
pulled a 2 foot diameter tree 3/4s of the way into the ground (hooked off the top of the trunk and laying on its side)
numerous mud trucks
4 farmer's pulls and never pulled under a 206.9 ft pull.
had a tug-o-war with a '75 F-250 (and won of course)
and last but not least i also used it a few times for pull starting semi's

think i may have pushed (pulled) this truck a little too hard a time or 2. if you look at the picture from the back showing the frame. that was a level picture. the frame was twisted.

Re: What has your Chevy pulled ????????

kinda miss this one. my old 81 chevy citation body on a 77 K5 blazer chassis. strictly a mud toy. never got it to the street legal point. pulled/pushed numerous mud trucks out of mud holes. best one that sticks i my mind was a mid 2000's Ford powerstroke. "barried" in a hole, pulled him out and then idled into and stopped in the middle of where he got stuck, and then idled out.

the picture of the front frame horn.... that stick like thing is actually a mino! found that and 2 others after being pulled out of a hole.
